Cutera® Pearl Treatment

The Cutera® Pearl treatment combines the impact of resurfacing lasers with the gentleness and safety of non-invasive procedures to treat aging and sun-damaged skin. Pearl reduces wrinkles, uneven texture and solar damage with fewer treatments and less recovery time than other technologies.

The procedure treats the top layer of the skin with light impulses while the heat penetrates to the deeper layers or the skin to provide longer-term benefits. Patients typically report the procedure as a 2-3 on the pain scale, 10 being the most painful. A topical anesthesia or gel may be recommended. You will experience a minimum one week of downtime as the top layer of your skin will begin to peel or slough off, revealing the new, healthy, vibrant skin underneath. Immediately following treatment you may resume with normal activities, not to include exercise for 1-2 days, however, you may opt not to resume “social” activities at your discretion as you go through the period of peeling and skin rejuvenation. Your skin rejuvenation occurs between 4-6 weeks, however, peeling occurs only during the first week of post treatment. Make up should not be applied for at least one week.

A series of 2 treatments are recommended in 4-6 week intervals. Procedures may be combined with Laser Genesis or fillers or Botox® for optimal results.
