Cutera® Laser Genesis Skin Therapy

The Laser Genesis procedures utilize non-invasive laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat fine line wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin texture, diffuse redness and scars.

Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness caused by dilated capillaries, not discrete, well-defined vessels. Diffuse redness can be associated with a condition called Rosacea. Laser Genesis is able to gently treat and reduce the appearance of this condition.

You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface as the laser moves across your skin about 1/2 inch above the treatment area. By gently heating the upper dermis of your skin, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen growth and reduces redness. Treatment areas include the face, neck, and décolleté, however, based on our practitioners recommendation, this therapy may be used to diminish recent scars on other parts of the body.

Individual treatment results are often subtle, most areas requiring 6 procedures to achieve optimal results. No use of topical anesthesia or gels is required. Side effects are minor as patients experience slight redness that disappears within a few hours of treatment. You may immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen for outdoor activities.

Treatments are recommended in 2-week intervals. For a 2D effect, this procedure may also be combined with the LimeLight facial, (IPL) for maximum results.
